An Unexpected Christmas Carols

An Unexpected Christmas Carols

2020 was different to what we all got used to. There were travel restrictions, social distancing, social bubbles, lockdowns and more. This year Christmas didn’t event have the festive vibes without the Winter Wonderland trip, Ice rings and Carols.

The Kings Centre Chessington decided to give their people a service of normality. An Unexpected Christmas Service gave people with beautiful worship as well as wonderful Christmas Carols. STLS provided all the light and sound equipment. Thanks to their knowledge and expertise, they created a Christmas atmosphere in the Church. The only thing we could have possibly wished for then was snow to make it a white Christmas. Thank you so much for organising such a fantastic socially distanced event.

If you are planning an event and require a photographer ot capture the atmosphere and details, I would are than happy to help. Feel free to contact me via my contact page!

Gym attire by MermaidFace

Lockdown Gym Attire for the rescue!

Welcome to lockdown day number 396… Okay, maybe I have slightly exaggerated this, but it definitely feels like it has been going on for the longest time. I was so excited to receive a call from the MermaidFace telling me about fabulous new stock that has arrived. I’m sure you remember the fantastic beach shoot we did back in September. However, this time there were no mermaids in sight – sorry guys! Although can you imagine having gym attire explicitly designed for mermaids? I think this is definitely something I need to pinch to the MermaidFace girls!

Because of lockdowns across the UK, we were very limited with locations as to where we could produce our shoot. Thankfully we have received a green light from the owner of Sweat It Gym in Kent to use their space for the shoot! Fabulous! This couldn’t be any greater space for this specific project, right?!

On the day of the shoot, everything went smooth and perfect. We have worked out our plan of action, stations and sanitation routines to make sure we are all safe and following the government’s guidelines. There were nine super fab gym attires which were split between three gorgeous models – whom I had the pleasure to work with in the past. Honestly, this shoot felt calm and easy-going; I didn’t want it to end. The whole team worked so well together, which you can see in the images. Pure perfection!

Now, I know that apart from the Mermaid gym attire, the boss lady is already planning the spring/summer collection, so I hope to be back here soon with another stunning wave!

All the gym attire plus bespoke swimwear, beachwear, co-ords and more can be found on the MermaidFace website www.mermaidface.com.

Thank you NHS and keyworkers

LOCKDOWN.

On Monday 23rd March 2020 UK was put down to a lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak. This had an impact on the whole entertainment industry. A lot of photographers and other suppliers has lost their predicted income and motivation to do anything ever since.

On Thursday 23rd April, exactly one month after the UK has been locked across the country, Thomas Rose, from Fusion Light and Sound has invited me to join his project. He and his team have decided to light up the 100 meters tall IKEA Towers in Croydon in blue to pay respects to all frontliners. We felt really personal about this as we all know at least one person working for the NHS or keyworkers and we wanted to show our support in these difficult times.

Tom and his team have spent pretty much all day, placing out all of his equipment and programming the lights. It was a lot harder than we initially thought. It was only after the sunset when the guys could have positioned the lights in the correct place, and once the dusk came, the magic has happened.

THANK YOU.

At 8pm people were clapping, we heard fireworks and emergency services sirens in the distance. Both of the towers were lit up in NHS Blue with lasers displaying NHS logo and thank you messages to our keyworkers and heros. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to the Fusion team for having me and giving me a purpose during this rather challenging situation.

A special thank you to the whole hard-working team: Tom Rose, Kieran Edmonds & Nick Jemicz. This wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for you.
